NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING
A quick reminder that this coming Tuesday, September 30th at 7 p.m., our Neighborhood Meeting will host Seattle City Council member Joy Hollingsworth. The focus is on the impact of the One Seattle Plan in our community- what legislation has been passed and what is still pending. How high new buildings can be, changes in setbacks and lot coverage, number of buildings allowed per lot and much more. She will also address any other questions you may have about concerns in our neighborhood.
Parkshore Senior Living Community, at 1630 43rd Ave E, is generously providing us space to handle the expected attendance for this meeting. We recommend you RSVP HERE and arrive 15 minutes early so we can get you signed in and seated on time. You will be able to submit written questions at the event.

Mark your calendars for the next two months of Neighborhood Meetings- Tuesday, October 14th we will host Signal Architects and Anchor QEA Landscape Architects and discuss next steps for the Bathhouse and Shoreline Renovation Project. And Tuesday, November 11th, will be our year end meeting with budget review and plans for the Holidays and 2026. Both meetings at 7 p.m. at the Bathhouse.
HOW MUCH DID PARTY FOR THE PARK RAISE? $140,000!!!!
Our deepest appreciation to the many generous sponsors and the incredible supporters, paddle raisers, auction bidders and ticket buyers. These funds allow us to continue with so many free events in the community, making them bigger and better in 2026, to explore more projects through Beautify Madison Park and, hugely, to take the next steps toward designing a Renovated Bathhouse and Shoreline Restoration. THANK YOU for choosing to help keep Madison Park humming with activities and energy.
DON’T MISS THE FIRST LITTLE BEATS CONCERT THIS COMING SATURDAY OCTOBER 4TH FROM 11-12 AT PIONEER HALL. DETAILS BELOW.
HALLOWEEN ACTIVITIES ARE GROWING!!!!
In addition to the beloved tradition of local businesses providing candy for trick or treaters from 4-6 on October 31, FoMP has added a few more goodies. We are a neighborhood of dog lovers so dress up your dog for Halloween and join the costumed pups parade at 4:00 in the park. Photo ops for the canines in Triangle Park afterwards. Kid photo ops will be at the Madison Preschool Co-op as always!
And, for the safety of so many little trick or treaters, the block from Triangle Park to McGilvra’s Restaurant will be closed from 4-6 and the residential block of 41st Ave E from E. Madison to E Lynn will be closed to through traffic from 4-7 p.m.. Enter through the giant Halloween arches, grab your kid a glow stick, rock to the music of a deejay and go home with a sugar high and happy kiddos.
