Tuesday, September 30th Neighborhood Meeting: The One Seattle Plan
On Friday, September 19th, The Select Committee on the Comprehensive Plan, chaired by Councilmember Joy Hollingsworth (District 3), voted 9-0 to approve amended legislation for the Comprehensive Plan (CB 120985) and Permanent HB 1110 legislation (CB 120993), passing it out of that committee. The Select Committee also passed Resolution 32183 which authorizes certain policy objectives to receive greater environmental review for consideration in 2026. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/politics/seattle-city-council-signs-off-on-new-growth-plan-zoning-changes/.
At our first Fall Neighborhood Meeting on September 30th at 7 pm at Parkshore, Joy Hollingsworth will field questions from the community and explain the impact in Madison Park as one of 30 new Neighborhood Centers. To read more about the One Seattle Plan, go to our website HERE. Zoning heights and setbacks are yet to be determined.

MARK YOU CALENDARS for our October 14th Neighborhood Meeting at the Bathhouse to learn more about the Bathhouse and Beach Renovation Project. The architectural team of Signal Architects and Anchor QEA return with added visuals and concepts of what these improvements could be.
LITTLE BEATS CONCERTS RETURN!!

With musical and dance performances scheduled from 11 a.m to 12 p.m. on the first Saturday morning of each month, October to March, this is a fun, interactive way to spend time with your kids, friends and neighbors in the fall and winter months. Make a morning of it: Grab breakfast, coffee or lunch at one of Madison Park's fantastic bakeries or eateries before or after the show!
A $25 series package includes entry to all of our six shows. Packages are priced per person, child or adult (free for babes in arms). Tickets are $5 at the door. Pioneer Hall, located at 1642 43rd Ave E.
TRICK OR TREAT!!!!
Halloween is coming up fast- and the wonderful tradition continues with the Local Shops providing candy and delight to all the costumed trick o’ treaters on Friday October 31 from 4-6 p.m.. We have added a Costumed Pup Parade (meet at the Park at 4) and the Madison Park Preschool Co-op Photo Booth (at Triangle Park), DeeJay and more….
FOMP will close the final block of East Madison as well as two residential blocks on 41st E.
This is done to ensure the safety of the small children who swarm the streets trick or treating and allow for a small family oriented block party and community event.
These two areas (see attached map) will be closed to through traffic from 3:30PM to 6:30 PM. We will have volunteers helping to direct traffic and allowing currently parked cars to exit as needed.
The road closures will not impede the bus route or emergency services.
