The Third Annual Madison Park Garden Tour is quickly coming- SATURDAY, JUNE 13TH FROM 10-3. Only $25/ticket HERE, opens a world to 14 distinct gardens- packed with ideas for you to take home- from plant combos to whimsical uses of space to furnishings and the creation of a generational garden. Walk or drive the tour on the flats of Madison Park. Enjoy the graceful beauty of the “Lakefront Peninsula” garden, the New Orleans-style courtyard and dining shed of the “Outdoor Rooms” garden, the “Always Blooming” garden focused on assuring the garden is always in bloom and always fragrant.

Our Spring Clean-Up was a HUGE success. 40+ volunteers, families and strong neighbors pitched in to clean up streets, prep the planting beds by the Bathhouse for new plants coming this June, sweep, weed, trim and polish our business area and park perimeter. A special shout-out to all the students, to our lead volunteer coordinators Nancy Beacham and Maggie Matern and to the support of the City’s Adopt-A Street program!

WELCOME BACK, FARMER’S MARKET!

In spite of ominous weather predictions, the Madison Park Farmer’s Market opened its season with more sun than rain and a fantastic turn-out from the neighborhood. Fresh salmon, delicious pizza, soups and sauces along with spring produce, beautiful bouquets of peonies, fresh eggs and asparagus provided our first glimpses into the summer market. More vendor spots will be filled in the weeks to come. We are so delighted to have this gathering place for our community- supporting Washington farmers around healthy, locally produced food.
